The Campbelltown Australian Football Club (CAFC) has received a much needed cash sponsorship from the Monarch Investments Group of Companies (Monarch) to continue the important role it plays in supporting a 100 plus registered player base.
Monarch has agreed to again provide a substantial $50,000 cash donation, which will be its 15th consecutive year as one of the CAFC’s major sponsors.
Andrew Toynton, Sales Manager for Monarch said, “The company has always been a community minded organisation that gives back to the areas where it develops. We have had a long standing relationship with the CAFC for over one and a half decades and witnessed the tremendous services they provide to football players and the local community.”
“Monarch is one of the largest property developers in the Campbelltown region and has contributed to a number of worthy causes in the area for almost two decades. We will continue to seek ways to help the community in this region, which is located in one of the fastest growing corridors in Sydney.”
Paul Coughlan, President of Campbelltown Australian Football Club adds, “Every year the club pursues sponsorships from local businesses to ensure the longevity of the organisation’s survival. During the global financial crisis we lost a few minor sponsors. Monarch has never wavered on providing a major cash donation during our long standing relationship.”
“This year our Under 18 team won the premiership challenge cup which could not have happened without Monarch and Council’s financial contributions. The funds were also used to provide resources including uniforms to help junior members, the maintenance of Monarch Oval, training equipment, highly qualified coaches, medical staff and clinics to fine tune players skills.”
“Monetary contributions used to maintain CAFC facilities have provided an important venue for the successful Indigenous Football Academy for high school students at Macquarie Fields. This program has been running for a few years now with great success and has helped indigenous footballers stay at school in addition to improving their AFL skills. The AFL is expected to expand this program into other parts of New South Wales as a direct result of the success we have had in this region,” he added.
